Calculator feedback
September 12, 2024. Feedback request published.
The Project calculator has been in use for 18 months, and is being used by many wheelbuilders.
- Are there any changes that would you like to see?
- Any additional features?
- The Project calculator will not last forever, do you need a download version of this calculator?
Calculator feedback will close on December 12, 2024.

Updates
November 26, 2024
- Big change
The calculator now does an automatic calculation. See the Help guide for more information, click Ξ in the calculator menu.
- Paired hubs and rims. The way to specify the dimension has changed. The unit of measure is now a seperate selection.
- Zoom view added to Normal, Triplet and G3 wheels. This is for people who like to study wheel geometry, and makes it's easier to see how the drawing changes as you change the data inputs (by clicking the input up and down arrows on a PC).
Any comments? Any changes?

Spoke count, cross pattern, spoke diameter, plus many of the other select lists, now perform an automatic recalculation when the data is changed.
The Help page has been reformatted to make it easier to read.
November 19, 2024
Updated the Rotated wheel type to include an entry for "Relative rotation". That now completes every rotation possible (5 in all).
I also updated all the help text for the Rotated wheel, so that it's a little less confusing, although this wheel type still something only the spoke length geeks whould appreciate.

A new wheel type : Mismatched hubs and rims.
Click the Type heading in the data entry form.
Currently I've added 36 hole hubs to 32 hole rims, other combinations will follow.
First update:
- "Save" is now moved out of the main menu and can be found in the Print option.
- There's now a new way of saving your information. Two new menu options, Info (information) and DB (data base). It's all explained in the help guide (via the Ξ System menu).
- The calculation URL is now in the Info menu.
- A new option in the Info menu "Public Url". This is a user request for a simple spoke length calculation to show as part of their wheel build descriptions (they add this link).
Still open for more feedback...
Thanks
